Taking inspiration from the natural surroundings, Wu-Ching Chou has designed the reception center to bring the building back to its most original and primitive condition. The exterior design features long windows that enhance the connection between the inner and outer space. The predominant use of white color throughout the architecture further emphasizes the harmonious relationship between the building and the environment.
Upon entering the reception center, visitors are greeted by a dark and warm interior space. The clever contrast between the inner and outer space creates a calm and inviting atmosphere. The center of the interior space is adorned with a large construction model, symbolizing the theme of the reception center and serving as a visual focal point.
The curvature design of the façade highlights a square area formed by eaves, with vertical lines extending to both sides. This design element caters to the young generation, emphasizing their importance as the main target audience for the reception center.
The interior space features cozy couches, an open meeting area, and visual-penetrative screens, creating a lively atmosphere while maintaining privacy. The bathroom and bar areas showcase delicate details, warm lighting, and a combination of wooden and rock materials, providing a high-quality residential experience.
The Streamlined Flow reception center spans 661 square meters and was completed in January 2014 in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. It is a testament to Wu-Ching Chou's dedication to integrating nature and modern living in his designs.
